You Can Be, ME TOO! A week in the life of an Architect is an informative conversation between a mother and a daughter about her career as an architect. Anjel has to prepare a paper and give a presentation for her Career Day classroom project. She receives detailed day by day insight into the profession and learns how exciting and creative the world of design and construction can be.

This children's storybook and coloring book is what Janel wishes she had when she was a child. She loved playing with building blocks, coloring, and simply being creative. She found her love for architecture in high school and received her architectural license in 2009. At that time, she was one of the first 500 licensed African American Women Architects in the United States of America out of a profession of a little over 219,000 registered architects (0.002%). This number is way too low. This storybook and coloring book is a testament of her journey in this profession, and Janel is hopeful that they will bring awareness and inspiration for the next generation of future architects.
